What is Leather Balm?
Leather balm is a nourishing and protective ointment specifically formulated for leather care. It is made from a blend of natural ingredients such as beeswax, carrier oils, and butters. Leather balm is designed to moisturise, condition, and protect leather goods, helping to extend their lifespan and maintain their appearance.
Key Ingredients:
- Beeswax: Provides a protective barrier, helps to waterproof, and adds a subtle sheen to leather.
- Carrier Oils (e.g., Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil): Moisturises, softens, and penetrates the leather to nourish it from within.
- Butters (e.g., Cocoa Butter): Adds deep conditioning, helps to restore suppleness, and assists in the solidification of the balm.
- Essential Oils (optional): Can be added for fragrance or additional conditioning properties. Use sparingly, as some essential oils may affect leather.

3. Pour into Containers:

4. Label and Store:
- Label your containers and store them in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight to preserve the balm's effectiveness.
How to Apply Leather Balm
To apply leather balm, start by ensuring that the leather surface is clean and dry. If necessary, use a damp cloth to wipe away any dirt or dust, then let the leather dry completely. Take a small amount of balm using a soft, clean cloth or your fingers, and gently rub it into the leather using circular motions. Focus on areas that are particularly dry, cracked, or worn. Allow the balm to absorb into the leather for several minutes, and then buff off any excess with a clean cloth to reveal a smooth, polished finish. Regular application of leather balm helps maintain the leather's suppleness, moisture, and overall appearance.
